After Submitting Your Application for Admission to Cal Maritime

We will send an email to the address you provided in Cal State Apply that confirms receipt of your admission application to Cal Maritime.  Check your spam or junk mail folder if you don’t receive this email within 7 days after submtting your admission application.

It is important that you monitor your email account to know when there are requests for more information or updates on your application. To ensure you receive our messages, go into your email settings and add the following to your trusted email addresses. Please contact us if you believe our email communication isn't reaching your email inbox.

Student portal and email access will be granted after an admission application has been submitted.

Applications for fall-term entry are accepted starting October 1. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Applications for Spring-term entry are accepted starting August 1.  Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. 

Provisional admission decisions are offered based on the academic information you provided on your application for admission.  It is therefore critical that you report your courses and grades accurately on your application.

First-Time Freshman Applicants – We do not need your official high school transcript until you have graduated from high school unless courses listed in your application require clarification or we wish to see your grades in your senior year courses. Final high school transcripts must include your graduation date.

Transfer Student Applicants - Admission eligibility requirements are different for lower division and upper division transfer applicants.  We may request transcripts from your previous college/universities to determine how many transferrable units you have by the time you enroll at Cal Maritime. Once admitted, transcripts with final semester/quarter grades from all college/universities previously attended will be required.

SAT scores, ACT scores, recommendations, and essays are not considered during the admission evaluation process for any majors at Cal Maritime.

Final Transcript Deadline: July 15, 2025

Cal Maritime requires receipt of your official final high school and/or college transcripts on or before July 15, 2025. Official transcripts can be sent by mail. We also accept official emailed transcripts through Parchment and/or your school's registrar's office.  Our address and email are listed on the left side of this page.

  • Graduating High School Seniors: "Final Transcript" means your official high school transcript that includes the date you graduated. Faxed transcripts or e-mailed scans will not be accepted from the student.
     
  • Transfer Students with Less Than 60 Semester/90 Quarter Units: "Final Transcripts" means your official high school transcript that includes the date you graduated. You must also submit all official college transcripts including the one with your Spring 2025 semester/quarter grades. Faxed transcripts or e-mailed scans will not be accepted.
     
  • Transfer Students with 60 or More Semester/90 Quarter Units: "Final Transcripts" means all official college transcripts including the one with your Spring 2025 semester/quarter grades. Faxed transcripts or e-mailed scans will not be accepted.
