Cal Maritime accepts academically qualified students seeking a second bachelor's degree.

Any major requiring completion of a U.S. Coast Guard License for graduation may require three-four years of study at Cal Maritime even if the student has completed a bachelor's degree and/or has many transfer units.  Transferred courses can, however, reduce the number of courses required in individual semesters allowing time for study in remaining courses, for an academic minor, or for student employment.
